Dedicated 33 years to the U.S. Marine Corps, culminating in his retirement as Director of the Food Service and Subsistence Program in January 2011. His journey began in 1978 when he enlisted, embarking on a distinguished career filled with diverse food service assignments.

Michael has served on the Board of Governors for Seoul Foreign British School for the past eight years, where he served as chair for seven years. In March 2012, he received an MBE for the promotion of British education in Korea. Michael is also head of the Compliance Committee at the BCCK.
